Lowlynn Hosts Royal Visit
Here is a fascinating story of the visit of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn who visited the Knight Gregson family in July 1876. The prince was the seventh child and third son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Arthur was commissioned as a lieutenant in the British Army, and served for some 40 years, seeing service in various parts of the British Empire. In 1911 he was appointed Governor General of Canada by his nephew, King George V.
